The job has been approved by MoDOT and St. Louis County officials, and is to be performed by Krupp Construction of Ellisville beginning in May and running no later than Oct. 31, at $2,364,481.89.

Update: The finish date for the Brentwood Boulevard curbs and resurfacing has been pushed back a month, according to an email on Tuesday from Ward 4 Alderman Tom Kramer. He said he heard from St. Louis County, who corrected their statement to him that the contracted finish date is now Nov. 30, not Oct. 31.

Brentwood Boulevard will be repaved from roughly I-64 south to Marshall, including 100 feet west on Eager from Brentwood Boulevard, and all of Eager Road from roughly the UMB Bank Building adjacent the Promenade, east both directions to approximately Musick Memorial Drive.

There is a daily penalty for every day after October 31 that the project is not complete. Within the beginning of the project is a sizeable concrete flatwork infrastructure makeover, on all curbing, and adjacent sidewalks in need of repair, upgrade or ADA compliance.

This initial portion should take a bulk of the summer, with actual milling, road bed prep and asphalt paving to take place into late summer, early fall.  The entire construction timeline represents a maximum, and could be sped up, and finished sooner, depending on weather and other impediments.

A nearby project will run in much the same timeline, and cover Hanley Road in both directions, from roughly just north of Interstate 64 to Pershing Avenue, through downtown Clayton.  To be awarded to Pace Construction, the $1.53 million dollar project should have a similar appearance to Brentwood Boulevard and Eager Road when finished.
