The Brentwood Spirit asked each of the Brentwood mayoral candidates to have one of their supporters tell why he or she supports them. Brentwood Planning and Zoning Commission member, David Dimmitt wrote in The Brentwood Spirit why he supports Chris Thornton for mayor in the April 7 election.

Dimmitt says he supports Thornton “for his positive vision for the city, his approach to problem-solving and his character.” Read the full endorsement in The Brentwood Spirit.

  1. What Spirit editor fell down on this job? Mark Wilson campaigns on eliminating this kind of gaff by joining the goals and objectives of the City and the School Board into a coordinated Comprehensive Brentwood plan.

If I recall, P&Z so very badly run, disorganized group and the source of huge failures in their “sunshine” responsibilities. People like long timer, “know ordinances like the back of his hand” Leroy Russo QUIT because there was no order. It was a ‘good ole boys’ enclave for commerce where rules and standing ordinances were out. “gimme’s” were in.
