Eagle Scout awarded

Boy Scout Troop 362 honored new Eagle Scout, Tyler Phipps with an Eagle Scout Court of Honor Sunday at Maplewood United Methodist Church.

Scoutmaster, and Eagle Scout, George McCandliss led the troop opening ceremony. Eagle Scout Marty Corcoran welcomed the audience and presented Phipps with his Eagle Scout Award.

Phipps earned his first badge, Tiger, in 2006. He camped out more than 100 nights and hiked more than 150 miles.
