EFS Energy, formerly Earth First Solar, invites the public for an open house on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. to help celebrate the re-opening of its Maplewood retail location, at 7312 Manchester Road.

According to a press release, festivities will include an electronic recycling drive hosted by WITS, Inc., solar powered live entertainment featuring the Westward Sons band, beer from Schlafly Bottleworks and more. World’s Fare Ice Cream is planning to be there.

The company has expanded its services to include energy efficiency and LED lighting systems. It specializes in residential and commercial solar design and installation.

The EFS Energy Solar Store offers solar products for the yard and home as well as mobile solar devices, educational products and toys meant to inspire and educate communities on the power of the sun.

“We continue to grow as a business as Maplewood progresses as becoming a green city,” said Kyle Barber, managing partner.

Missouri House Representative Mary Nichols (District 079) has been invited to speak on her role in getting the Electronics Recycling Bill passed by the Missouri Legislature.
