Maplewood officials are set to consider renewing a motion at the council meeting on Tuesday that would allow Craft Beer Cellar to operate in Maplewood. Also on the agenda is a motion to reject all bids for the proposed Maplewood Veteran’s Memorial due to high cost.

On the Maplewood City Council agenda for Tuesday:

  • Consider a request by Ryan Reel of Tapped for a full and Sunday liquor license at 7278 Manchester Road. It’s where A Pizza Story closed in April. (Ryan and Lindsay Reel, of Richmond Heights, according to the application)
  • A motion to renew consideration of a bill that would allow Craft Beer Cellar to operate in Maplewood. Councilman David Cerven made the request to bring it back. Later in the meeting — voting on the actual bill.
  • A motion to reject all bids received on September 1, 2016 for the Veteran’s Memorial due to the high cost. Maplewood city manager: reject bids for veteran’s memorial — nowhere near budget
  • A resolution for Maplewood to move forward with the development of a joint fire command for Maplewood, Brentwood, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill and Clayton.
  • Request for a conditional use permit for Chris Rayburn of The Blue Duck to operate a restaurant at 7401 Manchester Road.
  • Request for a conditional use permit for Little Caesars Pizza at 7325 Manchester Road.

  1. Don – Ryan and Lindsay Reel, of Richmond Heights, made the application for the liquor license. Name of the establishment is ‘Tapped’ — no further info here. I hope they’re planning on using the pizza oven.

    • Hi Doug and Don,

The pizza oven is staying! We plan on incorporating many of their food recipes as well. More information to come on the concept of our business.
