Maplewood police: 6 shoplifting arrests last weekend

Saturday, April 5

  • Police responded to a residence in the 7200 block of Lyndover for a reported disturbance. Police made contact with a man and woman who said they had been arguing. The man voluntarily agreed to leave. No arrests were made or charges filed.
  • Police arrested a 21-year-old man for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia in the area of Big Bend and Cambridge.
  • Police arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 32-year-old man and a 25-year-old man on suspicion of stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of stealing approximately $575 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Sunday, April 6

  • Police arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting approximately $112 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 34-year-old man for possession of a controlled substance and a fugitive warrant resulting from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Bellevue and Lyndover.
  • Police are investigating a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.  An unknown vehicle hit a parked vehicle in the 3400 block of Oxford.
