Maplewood police: Multiple shoplifting arrests, also thefts on Flora, Woodlawn, Laclede Station

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 9

  • A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing
    approximately $95 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

  • A 50-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A 49-year-old man was arrested on a suspected drug violation resulting from a traffic stop conducted in the 7900 block of Manchester Road.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

  • A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting approximately $130 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A burglary was reported on in the 7500 block of Woodland Avenue. A television was reported stolen between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Police responded to a disturbance call in the parking lot of a Maplewood Commons business. A 21-year-old woman was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct.
  • Electronics were reported stolen between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. from a residence in the 2800 block of Laclede Station Road.

Friday, Dec. 13

  • A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of stealing approximately $150 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.  She also had several active warrants for her arrest through other jurisdictions.
  • A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Saturday, Dec. 14

  • An Apple iPod was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7300 block of Flora Avenue between 5 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 15.

Sunday, Dec. 15

  • Police responded to the 3000 block of S. Hanley Road for a reported theft in progress at a business. Before police arrived, the suspect had left the business with stolen merchandise. Police located him walking nearby on Sunnen Drive. When an officer approached the suspect in his patrol vehicle, the suspect started running.  Police lost sight of the subject behind several buildings. Police canvased the area but didn’t find the suspect.
  • A 21-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of stealing approximately $140 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
