The Robin Restaurant, opened just this spring in Maplewood (7268 Manchester), has been named in The New York Times‘ 2025 list of the 50 best restaurants in the US. It’s the only restaurant to make the list in Missouri. The restaurant was opened in March by chef and owner, Alec Schingel.
St. Louis Magazine reports that to compile the list, “14 NYT reporters and editors took 76 flights to eat more than 200 meals in 33 states.”

Also in the news, Asador Del Sur, which had a devastating fire on Aug. 30, will be helped out by Mid County Chamber of Commerce members to help them recover. Many of the businesses are donating a portion of their proceeds from Saturday, Sept. 13. Other businesses and individuals have donated as well. See the website for the details.
