Monday, June 30

  • Police responded to the 7100 block of Lyndover Avenue for a reported assault. An investigation revealed that two family members had been fighting. Both were charged with assault.
  • Police arrested a 24-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business
  • Police arrested a 32-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man for stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.  The female suspect was additionally charged with assault in the third degree for allegedly pushing a  loss prevention officer when she was confronted by the officer about the theft.

Tuesday, July 1

  • A 2008 motorcycle was stolen from the 3200 block of Greenwood Boulevard. The motorcycle was recovered in another county on July 8.  Police are following up on several leads.
  • Police arrested a  35-year-old man for a drug violation in the area of Manchester and Yale.
  • Police arrested two women for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, July 2

  • A camera valued at approximately $2,400 was reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Roseland Terrace.
  • Police arrested an 18-year-old woman for stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Thursday, July 3

  • Police arrested a 25-year-old woman for stealing approximately $200 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police responded to the 2500 block of Big Bend for a reported disturbance. Police made contact with a man and woman who had been arguing. No arrests were made or charges filed.

Friday, July 4

  • Police arrested a 35-year-old man for stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. The suspect was also charged with resisting arrest.
  • Police are investigating a theft at a Maplewood Commons restaurant. Several subjects failed to pay their food bill.
  • Police arrested a 26-year-old man for leaving the scene of an accident. The driver’s vehicle struck a building in the 7300 block of Marietta in the early morning hours. Police located the vehicle a short distance away and subsequently identified the driver who later turned himself in.

Saturday, July 5

  • In the early morning hours police arrested a 19-year-old woman for suspicion of driving while intoxicated in the 2400 block of S. Big Bend. The driver had struck a light pole.

Sunday, July 6

  • Police arrested three women for stealing approximately $360 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 33-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 51-year-old man for stealing approximately $200 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police are investigating the theft of approximately $525 in electronics from a Maplewood Commons business on July 6.  An unknown man left the premises with the stolen merchandise.  Police are following up on several leads regarding the identity of the suspect.
