Monday, March 9

  • A 30-year-old man was arrested for peace disturbance in the 2000 block of Westfield Court.
  • Police arrested an 18-year-old man for stealing approximately $1000 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Tuesday, March 10

  • Police arrested a 53-year-old woman for stealing approximately $110 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, March 11

  • A cellular phone valued at approximately $850 was stolen from an employee at business in the 3200 block of Laclede Station. Police are reviewing video surveillance in an effort to identify a suspect.
  • Police arrested a 24-year-old woman for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Thursday, March 12

  • Police arrested a  23-year-old man for stealing approximately $115 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 33-year-old man for stealing approximately $275 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 22-year-old man for stealing approximately $300 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A man passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a business in the 3600 block of S. Big Bend. The suspect is described as a white male, mid to late twenties, short brown hair, last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans.

Friday, March 13

  • Police are investigating the theft of a laptop from a vehicle parked in the 7200 block of Moller.  The theft was reported to police on March 13 and occurred sometime between March 5-6.
  • Police responded to the 7300 block of Maple for a disturbance. Upon police arriving and attempting to make contact with a 18 year old male subject involved in the disturbance, the subject immediately ran from police. Police found the subject hiding behind a residence a block away and took him into custody. An investigation revealed that the male suspect had assaulted his girlfriend and damaged property at her residence.  The man was arrested on the charges of domestic assault, property damage, and resisting arrest by flight.

Saturday, March 14

  • Police arrested a 23-year-old man for stealing approximately $220 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Sunday, March 15

  • Police arrested a 31-year-old woman for a drug violation in the area of Manhattan and Sussex.
  • Police arrested a 44-year-old man for stealing approximately $150 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. He was also charged with resisting arrest by flight for initially running from officers who attempted to take him into custody. The suspect was also charged with making a false declaration for lying about his identity.
  • Police arrested a 53-year-old woman for assaulting another family member in the 7200 block of Lyndover.
  • A 2003 Jeep Liberty was stolen from the 7200 block of Lanham. The vehicle was recovered in a south St. Louis City neighborhood. Police discovered the vehicle’s window was broken out and the ignition was removed, when it was recovered.
  • Someone tried to steal a 2000 Dodge Stratus parked in the 3500 block of Commonwealth. The suspect pried open the vehicle door and removed the ignition.
