After 48 years and more than 575 monthly issues, Gene-Del Printing has published its last issue of The Pulse,
Arthur Oppenheim was the mayor of Brentwood in 1977 when Gene-Del Printing published the first edition. Gene and Delores Dodel founded Gene-Del Printing in 1973, according to the thank you on the front of the final issue by Brentwood Mayor David Dimmit. The paper’s purpose was to always be the ‘Good News Newspaper.’
Gene-Del Printing is continuing its growth, the paper reports.

I’m from Richmond Heights and read it often. Very nice “hometown” paper. Leaned a bit to Brentwood but always had MRH, Shrewsbury stuff covered too. Added bonus was Gene-Del Printing was my commercial and personal go to place for printing. Great folks, hate to see it go away.
Doug, thank you for your post, we appreciate you.
hi Dave, The Pulse newspaper was available in multiple locations in Maplewood. We appreciate the businesses that were distribution points.
Some locations over the years were; CNB Bank, Maplewood City Hall, The Post, and Schafly Bottleworks and others. Editor
Must have been a Brentwood paper. I never saw it offered in Maplewood.
