Three- and four-year old students from Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic School visited Powell Hall recently to view a performance of The Snowy Day, an interactive program based on the classic children’s story by Ezra Jack Keats, with music from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons performed by STL Symphony musicians, according to the school.

Part of the Kiddie Concert series, the show introduces young children to live symphony performances to build an early love and appreciation of music. The students also participated in learning activities associated with the performance.

Saint Mary Magdalen music teacher Denise Dolan obtained grants to allay costs, permitting every grade to participate in a music class field trip this school year.
