The daughter of a retired police officer, Stephanie Thompson Vuocolo, posted on 40 South News Facebook that he was involved in a motorcycle accident last Thursday on Manchester Avenue in St. Louis near Maplewood, and she’s looking for anyone who might have any information about it.

If so, add it to the comments or email [email protected] and I’ll pass it on. This is what she wrote:

I want to reach out to the community in search of anyone who may have witnessed or heard information regarding a motorcycle accident that happened last Thursday, June 5, around 1 p.m. We believe it happened close to your community but within the St. Louis City limits on Manchester Road.

My father was the motorcyclist, and has no memory of the accident other than being in and out of consciousness in route to the hospital. We are anxiously awaiting the police report, but until that happens he is unable to work, and my family are having time off work to be by his side at any opportunity we have. We are currently trying to get in contact with solicitors such as Smith Jones Solicitors in order to start the process for compensation. Without further information on the accident, this is becoming increasingly difficult to start this process with any solicitor. We are just looking for any information to help put pieces of the puzzle together.

We are not seeking to blame anyone just information or insight into the accident. My father is a retired police officer and was riding a retired police Harley Davidson. He has had a tough week and has a long road to recovery and any information would really help my family. Please message me if you have anything that might help. Thank you so much!

  1. From my accident from three years ago when someone blew through a red light and then lied about it, too many people aren’t willing to come forward as witnesses any more. Shame on them.

The memory issues are worrisome. I hope and will pray he fully recovers.

  2. This is truly a horrid event. I HOPE PEOPLE BEGIN TO TAKE THEIR NEIGHBORS AND NEIGHBORHOODS S-E-R-I -O-U-S-L-Y. “Children playing” caution signs need to be posted (as in Brentwood). Each person should know rudimentary schedules of their neighbors. Anything uncanny needs to be checked out. ARE OUR CHILDREN NOT WORTH THIS?? The FR’s are on the side of the angels. HELP THEM.
