The new owners of the building that was previously Applegates ( 1912 S. Brentwood Boulevard) have begun construction to convert the space into a Einstein Bros. Bagels, after months of delay—”finally,” co-owner Mike Patel said Thursday.
Patel said insurance issues after a car ran into the building in December held up the work.
He said the Einstein Bros. should open in April or May. He has said previously that Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will stay in the building.
