Following approval by the Maplewood City Council in Oct. 2024, work began on Tuesday for a new parking lot behind Side Project Brewing at 7458 Manchester Road. The new parking lot is an extension to the existing lot behind the building.
Brewery owner Cory King had originally wanted to use the entire empty lot on Hazel Avenue, rezoning from residential to commercial, but residents objected, so King revised his plan to use only about one third of the lot for parking, the remainder would be a proposed wood framed two-story house.
