Commercially-zoned block on the market in Maplewood: What should go here?

Some pieces have come together for three contiguous commercially-zoned lots in central Maplewood to be on the market.

The block between Ellis and Woodland avenues, just south of Schaefer Shell on S. Big Bend is available.

Kalb Electric, in Maplewood, “since 1909” is for sale at the north end of the block.
The building that was most previously the home of Tint Tech, at 2803 S. Big Bend Boulevard was at the south end. Tint Tech moved from that location in June, when the property owner told the business the lot is on the market.

The vacant lot in the middle is also for sale.

It doesn’t seem to be a stretch to think that a developer would buy all three lots.
So what would you like to see here? It’s big enough for almost any chain restaurant, or would you rather not see that? It could be a mix of uses, too.

  1. I would like to see some state-of-the-art medical office(s) be built there to attract top of the line physicians and/or dentists. I love the idea of new businesses coming to Maplewood, and from what I see (being a 12 year resident), there just isn’t much in the way of medical practices here. My husband and I have to travel to Rock Hill if we need an Urgent Care center, or to the city for our primary care physician and/or hospital. So as a resident, that would be most beneficial to me. Thank you.
