Maplewood Police on Monday morning updated the investigation into the shooting that took place Friday at the Shop ‘n Save parking lot.
The third subject involved in the shooting, resulting from a drug deal, according to police, has been taken into custody, and the investigation ongoing.
The car that sped from the scene also has been located. It was located at an auto body repair shop in south St. Louis County. The vehicle, which sustained extensive damage from gunfire, was processed by the Maplewood Police Detective Bureau.
The department reported that two suspects were already arrested.
The victim in the shooting, a bystander, remains hospitalized in critical condition, police also reported Monday.

I’m wondering about the bystander who was shot. I believe it said she was shot in the thigh and this article said she remains in critical condition. I will feel better once I know that she’s going to be alright.
Is she a Maplewood resident? I’m guessing so since she was out walking.
I could not agree with Karen more. Lets hope the courts don’t give them a slap on the wrist and let them back out any too soon.

It’s a shame this happened but it’s nice to see the police ? diligently working until all suspects were apprehended. Hope the courts keep them locked up for a ĺong long time.
