40 South News went online approximately four years ago — October 2013. These are the 30 most popular posts since then out of the more than four thousand total (almost three million page views). One new post broke the top 10 this year: the lifeguard firings over their use of a private messaging app.
Numbers 1, 2, and 4 stayed at the top — at the time most likely helped on by online sharing beyond our area.
Number 5 — the news of Chick-fil-A replacing Macaroni Grill, was thanks to then-Brentwood mayor Pat Kelly spilling the beans in a mayor’s coffee.
Number 6, the story of a once homeless man, was thanks to a story about him published by BJC.
Numbers 7, 8, and 9 are Maplewood restaurant news, always popular. Numbers 14, 16 and 19 are also about planned Maplewood restaurants.
